Biography Olivia Lu has over 20 years experience performing for audiences in Asia and the U.S. At the age of 10, Olivia began performing on piano at the Taipei Cultural Center . Upon graduating from Taiwan Theological College she entered Boston Conservatory on a scholarship. While there she took a Masters Class with the distinguished teacher Marie-Claire Jamet. She eventually earned two Masters in Harp Performance and Piano Education. She is also the recipient of the Anne Adams Award. Her orchestral performances include the Singapore Symphony, Taiwan Symphony, and the Boston Conservatory Symphony. Olivia has also performed solo and Chamber music in Beijing , Shanghai , New England, and New York City . Her two C.D.'s "Weaving Love of Harp" and "Harp Solo" are currently for sale. Olivia Lu has been teaching privately since 1991 and has been a faculty member at several schools including Aletheia University , Eternal College , Tamsui High School and just recently, Long Island Conservatory in New York . Throughout her carrer she served as Conductor of the Childrens Choir at Tamsui Cultural Center and Judge Finalist for the Taiwan National Piano Competition from 2000-2003. Olivia has held numerous student recitals and has performed altogether over 500 times including concerts and weddings. |
